Mark Hardy
| Elder Chairman |
Mark Hardy grew up in the mountains of Plumas County in Northern California. As a youth, he was heavily involved in sports and the outdoors. God graciously saved him when Mark was seventeen. While attending UCLA, Mark met and married his wife Torrey. They settled in Rocklin, where Mark has taught high school social studies for 15 years. Mark and Torrey have two children, Mason and Faith. Mark enjoys leading worship in the church and teaching God’s word. In addition, he still loves sports and the outdoors, playing basketball regularly and going fly fishing whenever time allows.
Bruce Allgier
| Elder |
Bruce was raised attending a liberal church and while possessing a limited “head knowledge” of the Lord Jesus Christ had no “heart knowledge” nor personal relationship with Christ until 1970. His wife Becky and her family were instrumental in both witnessing to Bruce and directing him to a strong Bible believing church. It was at this time that Bruce began to understand God’s wondrous plan for redeeming lost sinners.
Because of this experience Bruce has a burden for others who claim to be Christians but who have not yet gained true saving faith. Bruce and Becky have served at GBC in various capacities since its inception in 1987. Bruce has taught in our adult Fellowship Group ministry for the past twenty years. Bruce and Becky have two grown daughters and their son Scott is also and Elder at GBC. Bruce and Becky are grateful that by God’s grace and mercy there are four generations of Allgier’s attending GBC.

He is extremely thankful for coming to a saving faith in Christ in 1996. He is currently a Controller for Teichert, Inc. in Sacramento. John enjoys ministering with his wife of 19 years, Sharon, and their four children (Ryan, Kellie, Ben, and Megan). They have attended Grace since 1999 and are involved as Directors in the AWANA program, the mission committee and teaching children’s church.
